Really looking for	Looking for the name of a song performed male vocalist, part of a group that appeared at the end of a Jay Leno show sometime in October '07. Think it had the words, 'just wanna hold you, lay down beside you.....' Vocalist had reddish hair, thinking he may be Irish...anybody have any ideas on this?

k im not sure but i think u mite b thinking of a band called matchbox 20. their lead singer is irish and has semi red hair. he sung a song with similar lyrics that he did solo, not with matchbox 20. i dont remember the song name but check it out under rob thomas.
