Description	I haven't been able to use html, which would be very useful for links. I think it ought to be supported.

Links encourage spammers. More links means higher Pagerank. So companies pay spammers to go to blogs, message boards, etc to flood them with links to a site. Google sees all the links and accumulates that into a site's Pagerank.

Since this site seems to be a side project, I doubt that wasting time on anti-spam measures is at the top of the list.

Disallowing HTML is a very easy way to prevent massive spammer bots, since posting here doesn't help them at all.
