Title Search Macros
Description Let users define their own macros to promote more accurate and expedient searches. Particularly useful when you want to perform searches with complex booleans.

* Macros are simply string substitutions, e.g. {FRIENDS}="joe OR mary OR billy OR frank OR martha"

* Could either be done on a per-session basis (for anonymity) or in your settings if you are registered.

* Some macros would be predefined by Google to prime the pump, i.e. {MICROSOFT_OPERATING_SYSTEMS}="vista xp me 98 95 dos"

* Google would automagically learn others based on common search patterns and _recommend_ them if they're a reasonable close match to a search it sees you iterating on, e.g. "You are searching sites similar to our macro SPORTS_SITES - do you want to try that?"

* Create macro name spaces. Let me share one or more of my macros with (a) the public, (b) one or more specific gmail users I name, (c) people I share a given googlegroup membership with.

etc.

I would recommend a fine program named "AutoHotKey" which allows you to do what you are talking about, for all your programs. Not only would you be able to make your own macros (for example friend_list::joe|mary|billy) but you are able to assign hotkeys (like Control + Alt + F) to make the process even more expedient. Leave a reply after you download it, and I'll help you with the coding side.
